Falls Video, Niagara’s first High Definition
wedding video company, announces its support of the Blu-ray
Disc format. Several new Blu-ray packages will be introduced
over the next few months, and
a Blu-ray Disc upgrade option will soon be available for all
current High Definition wedding video products as well as
High Definition commercial productions.
Deciding factors:
- The result of our online survey,
which was three to one in favor of Blu-ray.
- Availability of production hardware
and software, most notably Blu-ray Disc writers, blank
media, and supporting software.
- Higher data capacity, and
consequential video quality.
- Blu-ray movies outsold HD-DVD 62 to
38 percent according to Nielsen VideoScan.
- Blu-ray support from Daewoo, Dell,
Denon, Fujifilm, Funai, HP, JVC, LG, Lite-On, Loewe,
Memorex, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Philips,
Pioneer, Ritek, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, TDK, Verbatim,
etc.
- Blu-ray exclusive studios include
Warner Brothers (New Line), Disney (Buena Vista), Fox,
Lionsgate, MGM, and Sony Pictures.
Falls Video continues its commitment to
provide Niagara with industry leading High Definition video
production. The format war has led to confusion regarding
High Definition. By making a clear choice in support of
Blu-ray, we hope to make High Definition video more
accessible in the Niagara region.
